cheeser

So she was brushing her teeth in the hall when I called her into the room. With drool all over her from brushing she comes around the corner into the room. She gives me this "uuuuggghhhh mom" look while throwing her hands down. Then of course came the cheesy and very fake smile clearly put on for the camera that mommy and daddy ALWAYS have.

115 degrees

This week the temperatures have reached up to 12o. We have been trying to beat the heat since we moved here but this week was an all time scorcher. Ruth kept cool by playing in the fridge and eating "ghiaccioli" (Italian freezepops). Todays flavor: Frutta Tropical (Mommy's favorite only Ruth wouldn't share!)

Paradise water park

Last weekend we went to a water park in Siracusa. It took us about 45 minutes to get there and we had a wonderful time. We packed our lunches and drinks and spent all day relaxing in the sun and in the water. Ruth got an italian form of a "push pop" but it melted so fast that she was drinking it as if it were a cup. Mommy got sun burnt for the first time this summer. She is recovering nicely though, right into a dark tan. Ruth loved playing with the younger kids and splashing in the water with them.

First Blog

You may very well be wondering what "il tre r in italia" means. It translates as "the three r's in italy." Robert, Rebecca, and Ruth. I should have made it the 4 r's considering ruby but she tends to get left out of the mix these days in our busy lives, the poor girl.

This blogspot is for family and friends to see and read our everyday experiences here in italy. You will be able to see pictures, read stories, and be able to better understand our life here in Italy. Hopefully this serves as a useful tool for all of us.
