I miss you already...

and I know that you miss me too. Grammy and Pappy, you are already missing all my goofy faces and actions. This is me laughing at myself because I am walking around in mommy's shoes in nothing but a diaper.

Germany!!

Grammy, Pappy, Daddy, Mommy, and I all took a long trip up to Garmisch, Germany for 5 days. It was a blast and the hotel was beautiful! It was so nice and relaxing and there was so much to do. Here is me in the lobby of the hotel getting ready to spend the day in the snow!

Germany II

We went to the Newscheinstein Castle from King Ludwig II. It was the most beautiful castle we have ever seen. This castle was built by king Ludwig with the most prestigeous of everything. It was beautiful inside and out and so elegant. It took years and years for the workers to finish it up to his standards. He lived there for only 172 days then was declared insane, dethrowned, and mysteriously found dead days later. The castle was then turned over to the government of Bavaria. Those 172 days were the only time anyone has ever occupied the castle billion dollar castle.

While we were in the cold weather of Germany in the mountains we took advantage of Ruth's first time in the snow and went sled riding. She had lots of fun. The entire ride down the hill she would say "Wwweeeee!" and when at the bottom she would quickly jump up off the sled, raise her arms up and say "Aallrriigghtt!"

Our last night in Germany we took an hour long relaxing carriage ride around the town of Garmisch. It was a beautiful site to see and Ruth loved the horsies as usual.

Palermo- Cathedral and Castle

Grammy and Pappy were happy to take a day trip to Palermo and surrounding towns with us. We first visited a beautiful cathedral. The front of the church was awesome and the unique chair for the priest stood out to us. The hand painted round ceiling was very pretty and just looking at the that alone was stunning.

After going to the cathedral and eating a HUGE wonderful Sicilian 5 course meal, we went to the beautiful castle in Caccamo (near Palermo). Ruth slept the entire castle on Robert's back but him and I enjoyed every minute of this huge castle.

Mt Etna Trip

Grammy and Pappy came to visit me for two weeks and right away I had to show them all the cool things that a kid like me gets to experience in Sicily. First we went to Mt Etna. This is Europe's largest active volcano, and I get to live right at the base of it! We drove all the way up the mountain until we couldn't drive anymore. Then we got in the cable cars and rode to the top! Once we got to the top we played in the snow which was the first time I had ever touched it. Then on the way back down, once we got back below snow level we stopped to gather Lava and Grammy and Daddy helped me climb to the top of the lava hill for a picture. Then as we kept driving down we passed by an old house covered in lava up to the dormer windows. Wouldn't it be neat to know the story behind that?
