stateside

So as we planned... the kids and I made it to the states. Robert unfortunately had to stay behind for a bit because of work issues *rolling eyes* and will hopefully catch up by the time we get to PA. Its a waiting game to know for sure... as usual.

Our adventure started on friday afternoon when I finished with a karate tournament and flew to the airport where Robert and the kids had checked me into the flight and loaded my suitcase. I got there just in time to get on a C-17 headed non stop to DC. Boy was I in for it. Nothing like being strapped to a jump seat with the back up against the plane and your feet on cargo.... looking out of the back of the plane as it is all open as we head down the runway. It certainly was interesting... and stressful with two kids. 10.5 hours later we landed in DC.

I decided to recouperate and spend a day in DC. My mother in law, god bless her, came from PA to stay with me so I didn't have to do a mediochre hotel in the middle of the ghetto by myself with no car. We had a good time. We went to the petting zoo and spent the day just hanging out otherwise.

Now we are enjoying GA with Grammy Eck, Aunt Lizzy, and cousins Hailey and Stuart. Yesterday we ventured to the zoo where Ruth had a blast and Russell just thought, "Get me out of the sun". We will be to PA sometime in the first or second week of June to see everyone there and we can't wait. Russell will be baptised in PA, we plan to visit an amusement park or two, and so much more. Visit the blog often as I will have updates along the way of our journey through the states!
